Taxonomies, Search & SharePoint How-to:
2007 - 2010

April 14 - 16, 2010 via teleconference

11:00 am to 2:00 pm Eastern time (8:00 am to 11:00 am Pacific)

In this nuts-and-bolts series, you will learn how to plan for, implement, and customize SharePoint search and navigation. In addition to viewing each task step-by-step, you'll be able to download helpful reference documents and ask specific questions about your application in a small group setting. While the focus is on the current version, we also preview new features coming in SharePoint 2010 — Boolean queries, the "refinement panel," topic hierarchies, and tagging.

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN
At the end of the seminar, you should be able to:

  • Plan a SharePoint search system architecture that serves the needs of both enterprise and team search;
  • Create a content infrastructure compatible with SharePoint search;
