Interlocking directorates

March, 2005

Original query posted to BUsLIB-L on 3/24/2005 by Mollie Brumbaugh

Does anyone know a web site that shows the inter-connectedness of Boards of Directors? For example, John Smith is on the Board of Company A, but he also sits on the Board of Company B with Joe Jones, and Joe Jones sits on the Board of Company C, etc.

Response
I think you might want to take a look at an online service called Boardex, which does allow one to get a picture of the inter-connectedness of members of various boards. I've had very good luck in linking individuals to boards using this.

The company behind Boardex is Management Diagnostics Ltd. based in the UK. Send an e-mail to dominicksutton@boardex.com or call him at +44 20 73143206.

However, if it's after hours, you can also try their office in New York at (646) 495-5390.
