Pre-roundtable primer: collaboration & innovation

This teleconference is
designed as a backgrounder for the March 28 roundtable "Collaboration
tools & innovation ." Its
purpose is to orient you to the roundtable context and help you understand
the concepts and tools discussed.
AGENDA
Overview of collaboration technologies
- Team sites, communities, blogs, wikis, and "folksonomies"
The economics of using communities for innovation
- Pros and cons of six different IT development
strategies
- Approaches to measuring employee productivity
Perspectives on the role of IT in innovation
- The role of informal communication networks in
technical innovation
- How to avoid natural IT inhibitors to innovation
FORMAT
The format uses Webex for video and teleconferencing for the audio. If
you aren't allowed to install the Webex program on your computer, you
can still participate. Call for details.
COST
$500 per person (members), $750 per person
(nonmembers). Nonmembers who register for this roundtable automatically
become members of the Society of Knowledge Base
Publishers (and can register for the "Collaboration
tools & innovation " roundtable
at a reduced rate).
Additional people from the same team can attend at
a reduced rate of $375 (includes full Society membership).
