SEMINARS & ROUNDTABLES (see also the calendar listing)
Integrating taxonomies January 12/13, 2004 (Washington, DC)
This 2-day workshop is designed to help you develop a concrete strategy for integrating multiple taxonomies - both internal and external. By "integration" we mean bridging the gaps between disciplines and cultures as well as making taxonomies available to navigation tools, incorporating them into business applications, and including them in editorial work flow. Jean Graef will teach the Connecticut session; Denise Bedford will teach the Washington session.

Metadata architecture roundtable November 10, 2003 (Enfield, CT)
This is an opportunity to meet and swap ideas with other Society members. Denise Bedford will be on hand to report on her latest work with concept extraction tools, managing collaborative digital reference material, and enterprise metadata repositories. The agenda will focus on what's new, what's happening, and what opportunities we see on the horizon.

Creating, managing, and using metadata November 11/12, 2003 (Enfield, CT) February 9/10, 2004 (Washington, DC)
