A taxonomy community of practice (abstract)
This month, representatives from twelve companies met to discuss the formation of a community of practice (CoP)  for taxonomy-related issues. CoP activities might include a technology review, collection of case histories, an executive briefing on taxonomy return-on-investment, and training materials for "knowledge stewards."
 
Local discussion group
The Western New England knowledge management discussion group will hold a dinner meeting on May 2 from 5:00 - 8:00 pm in Enfield, CT. Discussion topic is "Role of librarians in knowledge management -- past, present, future."
