This article gives highlights of our November 5 teleconference on a SharePoint implementation that used a knowledge management approach in a large law firm.

Background Catherine Monte and Jim Tuvell described how they are implementing SharePoint at Fox, Rothschild, O’Brien & Frankel, LLP, a 450-attorney law firm based in Philadelphia with 14 offices and 40 practice groups. Catherine is Director of Knowledge Management and Jim is Manager of Knowledge Services. The Knowledge Management function includes traditional library services, competitive intelligence, specialized research services, training, and management of the firm’s intranet. SharePoint is being used to refresh, extend, and integrate both internal and external information on the intranet.
