Concurrent user access June, 2000 Society members offer opinions on whether there is a "rule of thumb" for calculating the ratio of concurrent users to "real" users. Concurrent user access is one of several techniques used to deliver fee-based information services over a computer network or to sell multi-user software installed on a local area network. Other methods are individual accounts with passwords and unlimited access for everyone in the enterprise.
